  8. Many Options are deactivated by default. Read the documentation! There are
  9. a lot of Options that help you avoiding Deadlocks and other Problems.

  11. If you have already used an older Version of PowerWindows:

  14. PowerWindows now has a CLI-Argument "HOMEDIR". There's also a Tooltype
  15. with the same name if you start PowerWindows from Workbench (or from
  16. WBStartup). Have a look at the Installation Chapter of the documentation.
  17. If you want to know something about the new Features have a look at
  18. the History and Configuration Chapters.

  20. Before using the new Version you should remove PowerWindows from the
  21. Startup-Sequence/User-Startup/WBStartup if your old Version was there.
  22. Reboot your Computer after that. Don't install the new Version immediately!
  23. Try it out from Workbench. Many things have changed, and it might be
  24. possible that the new Version doesn't work anymore. I have included a
  25. little Program ("PW_QUIT") that sends PowerWindows a CTRL_C forcing it
  26. to quit, if possible. If quitting fails, you will see a Flash on the
  27. Screen (DisplayBeep). This happens, if other Programs have patched one
  28. or more Functions PowerWindows had patched before.
